Music department concert.

Happy new year everyone . End of semester concert from music department took place on Sunday afternoon of 19 January 2020 from 3-5pm. Students presented different things choir, dance, drumming and African Fusion. Students were all amazing the audience loved the performance and we had full house. And Yes we got to dance at the end.

Dance Camp Training

Our annual Dance Camp was on 3 -13 December 2019 this training is funded by Carol Memorial Fund . We had 30 trainees from different backgrounds. For two weeks they were able to learn basic English, four different dances, drumming, a dance drama, making instruments, music reading and music business. Their routine started with warm up in the morning. Guided tour to the our three bomas and exhibit was also included in their training. Lunch was provided and the day end with Question and Answer session with teachers and trainees.

After two weeks the trainees presented what the learnt to the audience. They did a performance and certificate of participation was awarded to them. The day ended with a big lunch.

YouLead Summit

YouLead is East Africa’s flagship Youth Leadership Development Program seeking to unlock youth leadership potential for a prosperous region. YouLead is a collective action youth program hosted by MS Training Centre for Development Cooperation (MSTCDC) and the East African Community (EAC) in Arusha, co-owned and supported by the YouLead Consortium of State and Non-State Partners across all the 6 East African Community (EAC) Member States in the spirit of United Nations Agenda 2030 – “Leaving no one Behind” and the African Union Agenda 2063 – “the Africa we want”. YouLead Summit 2019 was in November 11-13 with 325 delegates.

CAC hosted the opening of the summit at our performance hall, we provided technical support ( sound, light, stage) for the three days of the summit at three different locations. We recorded the summit theme song and did performances . It was a such an honour to be involved in this great youth summit of creating young leaders .

Music is Back

Music course is back now. We have not been having music students for 2 years. We are happy to have music students for Diploma and Certificate programs so many talents with us . We are looking forward for great year with them learning, making music, performing , networking .

CAC Fusion Performing at Oktoberfest in Moshi

The “Oktoberfest” is the world's largest public festival (beer festival and travelling funfair).
The original “Oktoberfest” is held since the year 1810 (209 years) annually in Munich, Bavaria/Germany. It is a 16-day folk festival running from late September to the first weekend of October, with more than six million people from around the world attending the event every year.

Oktoberfest was done in Moshi on 11-12 October 2019. Various musicians and band entertained the event. CAC Fusion got a chance to performed too.
